2.1 Beta tester sign-ups

When you sign up as a beta tester we collect the following data:

Full name (required)
E-mail address (required)
Discord username (optional)
Discord user ID (optional, only where relevant for role assignment)
The add-on you are signing up for (where applicable)
Date and time of sign-up
Whether you have agreed to the data processing and non-disclosure agreements
Whether you have given permission to be contacted for future betas

2.2 Website visits

We use Google Analytics 4 to gain insight into how visitors use our website. This only happens with your explicit consent (see section 3 — Cookies & analytics). Without your consent, no analytical cookies are placed and no tracking takes place.

3. Cookies & analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 (provided by Google LLC) to measure website traffic. When you visit our website, you will be asked for consent via a cookie banner.

If you click "Accept"

Google Analytics places cookies on your device to track your visit. The following data is collected anonymously:

Pages visited and time spent
Approximate location (country/city level, based on anonymised IP)
Browser type and device type
Referral source (e.g. search engine, direct, social media)

Your IP address is anonymised before being processed by Google. No personal data is shared with Google for advertising purposes — we use Analytics in measurement-only mode with Google Consent Mode v2.

If you click "Decline"

No cookies are placed and Google Analytics does not collect any data about your visit. Your choice is stored locally in your browser (via localStorage) so you are not asked again.

Withdraw or change your consent

You can withdraw or change your consent at any time by clearing your browser's local storage for re-addons.com, or by contacting us via the details in section 10.

Google's privacy policy

Google has its own privacy policy for Analytics data: policies.google.com/privacy. Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, ensuring adequate data protection for transfers to the United States.

4. Why do we use your data?

We process your personal data exclusively for the following purposes:

Managing your beta tester registration
Sending invitations, updates and instructions for beta tests
Assigning Discord roles as part of the beta
Reviewing test contributions (internally, for quality management)
Contacting you for future betas, only if you have given permission to do so
Understanding website traffic and usage patterns (only with your consent via Google Analytics)

We never use your data for commercial purposes, advertising or resale to third parties.

5. Legal basis

We process your data on the basis of the following grounds as defined in the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):

Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) — you explicitly give consent at sign-up by ticking the agreement checkbox, and separately for cookies via the cookie banner. You may withdraw this consent at any time.
Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) — for internal management and quality assessment of betas.

6. How long do we retain your data?

Beta without future-beta permission: Your data is automatically deleted once the beta you signed up for is closed.
Beta with future-beta permission: Your data is retained for as long as your permission remains in force, or until you withdraw it.
General pool: Your data is retained until you withdraw your permission or request deletion.
Google Analytics data: Retained for 14 months in Google's systems, after which it is automatically deleted.

After the retention period expires, all personal data is permanently deleted. Only fully anonymised, non-traceable data may be retained for statistical purposes.

7. Is your data shared?

No. Your personal data is not shared with third parties, except for:

Hosting provider: Our server stores the data. The provider has no access to the content of our files outside of technical support.
Discord: If you provide your Discord ID, we communicate with the Discord API solely for managing beta roles on the RE-Addons Discord server. Discord has its own privacy policy.
Google Analytics: Only if you have given consent. See section 3 for details. No data is shared for advertising purposes.

We never sell, rent or share your data with advertisers or other commercial parties.

8. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the following rights:

Right of access — you may request what data we hold about you
Right to rectification — you may have incorrect data corrected
Right to erasure — you may request complete deletion of your data
Right to withdraw consent — you may withdraw your consent at any time; this does not affect processing carried out before withdrawal
Right to object — you may object to the processing of your data

We aim to process your request within 30 days. If you believe your rights are not being respected, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).

9. Security

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss or misuse. These include, among others:

HTTPS encryption on all communications
Data access restricted to the RE-Addons administrator only
Storage on secured servers within the EU
